dr. jan goetz

Co-CEO and Co-founder, IQM Quantum Computers

Dr. Jan Goetz is a quantum physicist and co-founding Co-CEO of IQM (HQ in Espoo, Finland), building next-generation quantum computers. IQM has raised €128 million in Series A2 funding (in 2022), largest ever funding round raised by a European quantum computing company. 

Jan did his doctorate on superconducting quantum circuits at TU Munich and worked as a Marie-Curie Fellow in Helsinki at Aalto University, where he holds the title of docent. He holds a Board seat in the European Quantum Industry Consortium QuIC. He is also a member of the German Federal Economic Senate, an EIC Scaling Club Council member, member of the Hall of Future, as well as a Digital Leader and Global Innovator at the WEF.

Chairman of the Board, Finnish Data Center Associ​ation

Veijo Terho has had a long career in the data center industry and currently works at Verne as the Manager of Customer Success. His experience spans both the public sector and private companies such as Digifinland, Telia, Tieto, and Nokia. In these roles, he has been involved in numerous data center projects across Scandinavia—either in the construction of new facilities or in the modernization of existing ones—serving as a service owner, customer, and technical expert.

Energy efficiency and circular economy have been core values for Veijo in the development of the data center industry.

Mikko is a highly experienced data center expert with over 10 years in the industry. He brings deep expertise in modern, energy-smart data center solutions and is particularly recognized for his work in advancing sustainable infrastructure practices. Mikko is the Head of Business Unit IT Solutions at Rittal, a vice chairman of the board of the Finnish Data Center Association, and Chairman of the Finnish ISO standardization working group for resource-efficient data centers.

Director of Data Center Business, Granlund

Jari Innanen is the Director of Data Center Business at Granlund. He is one of the pioneers of the industry in Finland and a prominent figure in the data center field. With over 20 years of experience in the sector, he also served as the first chairman of the Finnish Data Center Association (FDCA). At Granlund, Innanen leads the company’s data center design and consulting services, as well as its international expansion efforts.

Jaakko Jääskeläinen is the Director of Strategic Market Intelligence at Fortum, where he leads forward-looking analysis to support strategic decision-making in the energy sector. Prior to this role, he worked as Professor of Practice (Energy Markets) at Aalto University and in various energy market related analyst and consultant positions. Jaakko holds a PhD in energy security.

Christian Hannibal

Head of Public Policy, Denmark and Finland, TikTok

Christian Hannibal is Head of Public Policy for TikTok in Finland and Denmark, where he leads the company’s engagement with policymakers, regulators, and stakeholders on issues shaping the digital landscape. With a background in technology policy, digital regulation, and innovation, Christian works to ensure that TikTok fosters a safe, creative, and inclusive online environment. Before joining TikTok, he held senior roles in industry organizations and in the civil service, advising on emerging technologies, platform governance, and the intersection of business and public policy. He is a recognized voice in national debates on digital transformation, data ethics, and online safety, and has contributed to shaping policy frameworks that balance innovation with responsible regulation. Christian holds a degree in political science, and is passionate about building trust between technology companies, society, and government.

Managing Director, Finnish Energy

Jukka Leskelä is the Managing Director at Finnish Energy, a branch association of power, district heating and gas companies in Finland. Finnish Energy has 280 member companies, and the association has offices in Helsinki and in Brussels.

Jukka Leskelä has represented the branch over 20 years at Finnish Energy in various positions and of which he has been the CEO for 10 years. His specialities include energy, climate change and environmental policy issues in the EU and in Finland. Before that he worked 9 years at energy company Fortum with emissions control and environmental technology. He has an M.Sc. in Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology.

Jukka Leskelä has held various positions in national and European organisations. Presently he is a board member of Eurelectric, the association of electricity industry in Europe, and Nordenergi, the joint collaboration of Nordic energy associations.

Jesper Schaumburg-Düring

Commercial Director, Eurowind Energy

Jesper has extensive experience in the power market working almost 12 years at Centrica Energy Trading with a focus on international PPA/offtake agreements, working within the space of both upstream/downstream and flexibility/ancillary services.

Within the last almost 4 years he has been leading the global commercial department at Eurowind Energy as the Commercial Director for 16 countries.

This enables a high understanding of the market dynamics for both physical and financial power markets and what it takes to bridge commercial needs from renewable production with real-world energy consumption solutions.

With strong focus on energy performance management systems and grid balancing services Marcelo is engaged with multiple stakeholders to address current challenges of electrical network and operational efficiency.

Lauri Ikonen is the Head of Technology at Polarnode, a Finnish data center developer shaping the next generation of Nordic digital infrastructure. He brings over two decades of experience in mission-critical infrastructure, industrial projects, and data centers. Before joining Polarnode, Lauri led a major hyperscale campus at Google and was part of UpCloud's executive team, overseeing service delivery across 13 global data center locations. Earlier in his career, he also held leadership roles at ABB, including leading the Service business in the Power Systems Division.

AI Researcher &  Student, Aalto University

Reidar Wasenius recently returned to Aalto University to continue his studies in computer science (HCI + AI). In the tech sector since 1989, his past employers include Nokia (twice), Samsung, Telecom Finland/TeliaSonera, Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and the Finnish funding agency Tekes (now: Business Finland). As an educator since 1984, he has worked at all levels of the Finnish education system. He was the founding Program Director of the BSc program in Media and Communications at Arcada University of Applied Science.  In the media industry since 1979, he has worked for the Finnish National Broadcasting Company YLE and several commercial radio and TV channels. His latest book is Personal Brainer (WSOY, 2016) co-authored with neurobiologist Tiina Huttu. His voice is heard by more Finns than any other voice - increasingly, generated with AI.
